Having suffered from what might have been depression for a number of months, or possibly even years, a writer undergoes a sort of mental breakdown. After a period of hibernation, living a life of simple seclusion, he re-emerges a changed person with a new attitude towards dogs, a different alter ego, a pamphlet offering a fragmented commentary of his experiences, and a tape of songs he has written and recorded.

This is that tape.
